ENTTEC OCTO MK3 32-Universe DIN Rail LED Pixel Controller
Model: 71522
About: ENTTEC OCTO MK3 32-Universe DIN Rail LED Pixel Controller
When using multiple ports with different protocols or DMX universes, timing mismatches can create visual inconsistencies. The OCTO MK3’s Port Sync feature ensures all ports stay synchronised, preventing inconsistencies and ensuring smooth operation across your entire installation.Configure your outputs exactly how you need them. Each port supports up to 6U + 2U in overdrive mode, and when you don’t need Clock-compatible fixtures, simply enable “split port” to convert Clock outputs to additional Data ports—expanding your data output capacity. Mix and match configurations across individual ports to perfectly match your project requirements. The OCTO MK3 is a powerful quad-output eDMX to LED pixel converter with overdrive mode, transmitting up to 32 universes. Robust and reliable, it connects directly to LED lights, elevating architectural, commercial, and entertainment projects. Designed for fast deployment, it supports Art-Net, sACN, ESP, and KiNet protocols, and works with over 20 industry-standard SPI LED strips.
- Flexible pixel output configuration – Supports data and clock signals or can repurpose clock for additional data output.
- Supports up to 32 universes of Art-Net, sACN, Kinet and ESP with overdrive mode.
- Extensive protocol support, including both data and clock-based configurations.
- Custom pixel protocol creation for specialised applications.
- Daisy-chain networking for efficient data distribution.
- Supports DHCP and Static IP addressing.
- Grouping functionality reduces input channel count for streamlined configuration.
- Surface or TS35 DIN rail mounting options.
- Identify/Reset button for quick wiring verification without a network connection.
- Port Sync ensures all ports stay synchronised, preventing inconsistencies and ensuring smooth operation.
- User-friendly web interface for intuitive device configuration and firmware updates.
- Inbuilt FX engine for standalone gradient effects without requiring an external DMX source
It features flexible output configuration with up to 8 universes per port—2 outputs with Clock support or up to 4 outputs when repurposing Clock as additional data ports. The intuitive localhost web interface enables easy gradient effects via the inbuilt FX engine, with standalone shows on power-up—no DMX needed.
With installer-friendly features like Port Sync for synchronized output, network daisy-chaining, custom protocol creation, and flexible mounting options, the OCTO MK3 delivers professional LED pixel control for demanding installations.
OCTO LITE vs OCTO MK2 vs OCTO MK3
The OCTO LITE provides 8 universes of output in a streamlined package, compared to 16 universes in the OCTO MK2 and 32 universes in the OCTO MK3. Designed for installations that don’t require standalone mode, split port functionality, or KiNet protocol support, the OCTO LITE is the LED pixel controller for projects where 8-universe capacity is the right fit. For projects requiring additional capacity or advanced features, the MK2 and MK3 provide straightforward upgrade paths within the same OCTO ecosystem.

32 Universe Powerhouse
The OCTO MK3 delivers up to 32 universes of output—double the capacity of its predecessor. Supporting up to 5,440 RGB or 4,096 RGBW pixels, it’s the ideal solution for large-scale installations demanding maximum data throughput and performance.
Flexible Port Configuration
Configure your outputs exactly how you need them.
Port Sync Technology
When using multiple ports with different protocols or DMX universes, timing mismatches can create visual inconsistencies. The OCTO MK3’s Port Sync feature ensures all ports stay synchronised, preventing inconsistencies and ensuring smooth operation across your entire installation.
Standalone FX Engine
Create stunning gradient effects without any external DMX source. The OCTO MK3’s inbuilt FX engine allows users to create gradient effects with real-time previews directly through the web interface. Configure the device to run standalone upon power-up—perfect for permanent installations or testing outputs on-site without requiring a dedicated DMX source.
Powered by your pixels
With an industry-leading 5-60V DC input range, the OCTO MK3 can be powered directly from your LED pixel strips or dots via either port. This eliminates the need for additional power supplies and cabling, streamlining installations and reducing installation time and costs.
Installer-friendly design
Every aspect has been engineered for ease of installation. The Identify/Reset button enables quick wiring verification without a network connection—when pressed, all 8 output universes are set to output the highest value (255) for 10 seconds. Dual RJ45 Ethernet connectors support efficient daisy-chaining (chains of up to 8 devices give optimum synchronisation between outputs). Choose between surface mounting or TS35 DIN rail installation with included accessories.
The user-friendly web interface provides intuitive device configuration, firmware updates, real-time universe buffer inspection, and comprehensive network statistics—making troubleshooting effortless.
Custom protocol creation
The OCTO MK3 supports over 20 industry-standard pixel protocols including APA-102, WS2812B, SK6812, TM1814, and many more. Can’t find your pixel protocol in the pre-listed library? The OCTO MK3 enables custom pixel protocol creation for specialised applications (refer to the Custom Protocol Creation Guide for eligibility requirements).
