About: QSC KS112 2000W 12-Inch Compact Powered Subwoofer

The KS112 is the perfect choice for anyone needing high output low-frequency extension in a highly compact and portable package. Powered by a 2000 watt class D amplifier module, KS112 features a single 12-inch transducer in a 6th order bandpass birch cabinet with rugged, low-noise casters. Onboard DSP provides variable crossover and savable/recallable Scenes for commonly- used applications while Intrinsic Correction™ tuning and loudspeaker management maximizes performance and protects the subwoofer’s components.

Two M20 threaded pole receptacles provide a positive, wobble-free connection to a threaded speaker pole in either vertical or horizontal deployment (pole not included). An optional KS-LOC security cover prevents unauthorized tampering of controls. Rugged, low-noise casters are included.

Musicians, bands, mobile DJs, system integrators and AV rental/production professionals alike will appreciate the performance of the KS112 in a wide variety of applications – particularly when paired with TouchMix Series mixers, further optimizing KS Series performance, or as a complement to K.2 Series loudspeakers. Pros:

portable, comes with casters, easy to dial in the settings, powerful, has handles

Cons:

takes a big of playing with it to find the setting you want.

Comments:

This thing is great! rolls smoothly, it's about as compact and portable as a powered sub could be. I'm a mobile DJ so for me, the small footprint was a big deal. It's only moderately heavy, the handles make it easier to load into my car, and i can stack my K10s and single K8 on top of it to roll them all into the venue together. Sound is nice and deep, the kick is tight and projects well. I've read reviews about some people using two of these but i can't imagine ever needing a second one for my types of bookings. I'm only disappointed that i didn't make this addition to my rig, earlier.
