Lectrosonics IFBT2.0 UHF Dual-Channel IFB Rack Transmitter (Freq: A1)
Model: IFBT20-A1
About: Lectrosonics IFBT2.0 UHF Dual-Channel IFB Rack Transmitter (Freq: A1)
The new IFBT2.0 is designed with broadcast studios and location sound mixing carts in mind with a ½ rack, dual-channel transmitter, equaling the rack density of the older T4 units. The IFBT2.0 has enhanced, menu-selectable input connectivity including analog line and mic level, Dante and AES digital, Clear-com, and RTS. The inputs are compatible with “wet” signals, allowing for use with connections where DC is present on the audio lines. The new unit also includes USB-C and Ethernet connections for use with Wireless Designer software for system monitoring, frequency coordination, and setup.
- RF power settings at 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 mW (North American versions)
- AES and Dante digital connectivity
- Analog mic level, line level, ClearCom and RTS inputs, including DC blocking for “wet” signals
- Menu-driven control for RF power, frequency, compatibility modes, transmit status, input type, test tone generation, and more
- Wireless Designer compatible (WD v2.1.10 and higher for both Mac and PC)
- USB-C for Wireless Designer connection and firmware updating
- Ethernet connection for control/programming via Wireless Designer software
- Circulator/Isolator for high RF power with minimal intermodulation products generated
- ½ rack enclosure with two independent transmitters – equals rack density of shelf-mounted IFBT4 (4 channels in 1RU).
- Uses same rack hardware as M2T and DSQD
- Ultra-quiet fan cooling for use in difficult environments
- Ideal as a point-to-point audio transmitting using NU/EU Hybrid modes for full fidelity
The IFBT2.0 offers IFB and NU/EU Hybrid compatibility modes for use with all prior Lectrosonics IFB receivers including IFBR1, IFBR1A, IFBR1B, IFBR1C (IFBlue) units, along with any Hybrid receiver from Venue and Venue 2 to UCR411a, R400a, and LR, and any Digital receiver with Hybrid compatibility including DCR822, DSR, DSR4, M2Ra, and DSQD.
The Circulator/Isolator in the RF output on each channel acts as a one-way valve for RF, preventing external signals from entering the transmitters. This greatly reduces the generation intermodulation products, allowing for tighter frequency coordination, even with higher RF powers. The IFBT2.0 offers user selectable RF power settings at 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 mW (North American versions), and 10, 25, and 50 mW (EU versions).
While designed for use as a primary IFB base-station transmitter for broadcast studios and film/TV sets, the IFBT2.0 is equally at home as an audio point-to-point audio transmitter with excellent audio fidelity using NU/EU Hybrid compatibility mode (flat from 40-20 kHz, with no audio companding).
