Glensound Signature SW 8:2+ is a broadcast-specification audio source selector and mixer designed to manage multiple audio inputs efficiently. It offers flexible routing and monitoring capabilities, making it suitable for various professional audio environments.
Features
- Input Configuration: Supports 8 balanced audio inputs via Neutrik 3-pin XLR connectors. These can be globally set to function as 8 mono inputs or 4 stereo pairs, accommodating different audio source requirements.
- Output Options: Provides two balanced outputs on Neutrik XLR plugs. Depending on the mode, the unit can deliver a single mono channel, a stereo channel, or a mix of selected sources.
- Mode Selection: Features switchable modes between 'switch' and 'mix'. In 'switch' mode, selected inputs are routed directly to the output, while in 'mix' mode, multiple selected inputs are combined.
- Monitoring Capabilities: Equipped with a 6.35mm stereo TRS headphone jack on the front panel, allowing real-time monitoring of the output audio with an adjustable volume control.
- Visual Metering: Incorporates a stereo 28-LED Peak Programme Meter (PPM) on the front panel, providing precise visual feedback of audio levels with 1dB resolution per LED.
- Power Supply: Operates with an internal switch-mode power supply compatible with a wide input range. Additionally, it includes an external +/-12V DC input for redundancy, compatible with the optional Signature PS1 external DC Master Power Station.
