About: Clear-Com FreeSpeak II Base Station for 5 Beltpacks
The FreeSpeak II Base Station is the foundation of a wireless intercom system with support for either 5, 10, or 25 FreeSpeakII wireless intercom beltpacks and 10 transceivers connecting to the base via optional FSII-SPL splitters using plug-&-play CAT cabling. The base integrates with 2-wire analog partyline intercom systems and provides 4-wire, Program Audio and Stage Announce Line Level audio interfaces in addition to GPIO control. The base’s compact 1RU form factor features front panel intercom headset station which can also be used for system configuration and monitoring in addition to the graphical CCM web browser interface.

Wireless
FreeSpeak II Base Station supports the FreeSpeak II family of wireless intercom, including 1.9 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequency bands which can be concurrently deployed on an FreeSpeak II Base Station system. FreeSpeak antenna transceivers, connected via E1 CAT/Fiber plug and play cable connections can be modularly added for coverage and capacity of beltpacks which can roam between overlapping transceivers. FreeSpeak beltpacks can have their keys assigned to any Channel, Group or Interface Port on the system.
Partyline, Analog Audio & Control - Interfacing
FreeSpeak II Base Station can interface to a variety of 3rd party audio and intercom systems with audio interface ports assignable to any Channel, Group, FreeSpeak Beltpack and FreeSpeak II Base Station keyset on the system:
- 4-Wire provides the ability to connect analog line-level audio inputs and outputs to FreeSpeak II Base Station.
- 2-Wire Partyline allows interfacing to existing analog partyline intercom system infrastructures or to add Partyline user stations or interfaces using FreeSpeak II Base Station’s built in power supply.
- Program Audio Input provides a line level analog audio input, on an XLR connection, with assignability to any keyset or channel.
- Stage Announce Output a line level analog audio output, on a XLR connection with assignability to any keyset or channel.
- GPIO provides Inputs and Relay Outputs for system control. Inputs allow activation of audio crosspoints while Outputs can be activated upon key presses, audio crosspoints and or call signals configurable in FreeSpeak II Base Station’s Logic Event configurator.
Intercom User Station
FreeSpeak II Base Station’s front panel user station provides four keysets assignable to any Channel, Group, FreeSpeak beltpack, Program Audio or Stage Announce on the FreeSpeak II Base Station system. The user station is provisioned with a headset connection in addition to All Call, Stage Announce and Remote Mic Kill.
System Configuration & Monitoring
FreeSpeak II Base Station front panel menus provide the ability to configure system configuration using an interface consisting of high contrast screens coupled with tactile rotary encoders and buttons. With the front panel, the status and utilization of all transceivers and beltpacks can be monitored. FreeSpeak II Base Station’s Core Configuration Manager (CCM) is an integrated, browser-based configuration utility enabling rapid setup, configuration and monitoring of the system.

FreeSpeak II Base Station is available for 5 or 25 beltpack system with a field upgrade option.

All Clear-Com brand systems and products, including wired and wireless belt packs, have a Limited Warranty of two years, with the following exceptions:
- Clear-Com headsets, handsets, microphones, UHF wireless IFB products, and the following DX and PRO products: AC850 Charger, BAT850 Battery, BAT41 and BAT850 batteries, HS12, headsets, remote antenna cables, SP10 Speaker, XLR Adapters and HS20-2 headsets have a Limited Warranty of one year.
- Cables, accessories, components and consumable items including the BP850 battery sled, Beltpack antennas, Beltpack configuration cable, HS4-2 Earpiece, RMK850 Mounting Kit, RAK850 Remote Kit, Beltpack pouch, DX headset extension cable, HS4-3 Earpiece, HSI6000, RMK200, Splitter/Combiner, WS200 Battery Sled, Foam inserts in travel case, CAT-5 cable, base antenna have a Limited Warranty of 90 days.
- Any Clear-Com product that has been classified as obsolete at the time of sale has a Limited Warranty of 90 days from sale and will be replaced with the same product or a sales credit will be issued, at the sole discretion of Clear-Com.
- Clear-Com PRO 850 series wireless base station and Beltpacks have a Limited Warranty of three years.
- Clear-Com UHF WBS Analog wireless intercom systems have a Limited Warranty of three years.
- All software products, including Concert (Client and Server), ECS, EHX, Production Maestro Pro and Logic Maestro are warranted for one year and shall substantially conform to published specifications. The media on which the Software is furnished is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship (under normal use) for a period of one year.
Manufacturer's Warranty will cover parts, labour and return shipping back to you once repaired. Shipping into the service centre is not covered
