About: DPA Microphones MicroLock to Mini-Jack (w/thread) Adapter for Sennheiser

The DPA DAD9034 MicroLock to Mini-Jack Adapter (for Sennheiser) connects DPA headset microphones, DPA lavalier microphones as well as DPA instrument microphones to Sennheiser Evolution, X2 Digital Wireless, Audio Ltd. En2 TX wireless systems. The adapter comes with an original DPA MicroLock to Mini-Jack Connector (with thread). It is also available as a fixed connector.

MicroLock is a dependable microphone connector that offers reliability, durability and robustness, ensuring that sound professionals can trust their equipment in any situation. It allows you to use your microphones with different brands of transmitters, so you don't have to buy a new mic for each system. In other words, you are no longer bound to one wireless system.

Flexibility

With MicroLock, you’re no longer tied to a single wireless system. Its compatibility with a wide range of adapters means you can easily switch systems, upgrade equipment, or tackle new challenges without missing a beat.

  • Seamlessly connect across multiple wireless systems
  • Backwards compatibility ensures smooth transitions from MicroDot

Reliability

MicroLock's innovative locking mechanism ensures your connections stay secure, even in high-pressure situations. When you can’t afford equipment failures, MicroLock is your silent partner in delivering excellence.

  • A spring-loaded mechanism locks in place for unmatched stability
  • Wear-resistant materials ensure consistent performance over time

Durability

MicroLock is built to endure it all – from a bustling live event, a remote film set or the daily grind of studio work With materials chosen for their resilience and a design made for heavy use, MicroLock is engineered to last, so you can focus on your craft - not your gear.

  • Built to handle repeated use without compromising performance
  • Stands up to the wear and tear of professional environments

Compact size

MicroLock’s compact design makes it a perfect fit for situations where space is tight, or equipment needs to stay discreet. Its well thought out design means it stays out of the way, so you can focus on the bigger picture - your performance, your art, your story.

  • Professionals in need of sleek setups
  • Tight workspaces where every millimeter matters

Compatability

MicroLock is fully backwards compatible with the MicroDot connector. This means that MicroLock parts can be assembled with MicroDot parts and function as if they were of MicroDot type.

Please note that the locking function is only available if both the male and female parts are MicroLock.

Using MicroLock

You connect MicroLock in the exact same way as if it were a MicroDot. The only difference is that you do not need to screw it all the way in – the connection is secure, and the connector is considered assembled as soon as you hear the clicking sound or feel the tactile feedback. The clicking sound is produced by the locking teeth being pressed together by the spring, ensuring that the connector does not loosen unintentionally until you actively unscrew it.

When you need to disconnect MicroLock, you pull the sleeve back slightly (0.5 mm) to compress the spring that locks the teeth, releasing the lock, and then unscrew the connection as you normally would with a MicroDot. [Close-up of a cable Description automatically generated]

What’s the difference?

The primary difference between MicroLock and MicroDot is the locking mechanism, which adds an extra layer of security and protects the connection from any accidental disconnection during use.

MicroLock is slightly larger in diameter than MicroDot (Ø 6.6 mm / 0.26 in vs Ø 5.6 mm/ 0.22 in). In addition, the insulator color inside the connector has been changed from red in MicroDot to DPA green in MicroLock to ensure quick recognition.
