The Palmer saar Guitar Splitter Box reliably solves this problem. It separates the ground potentials of both amplifiers, thus preventing ground loops that almost inevitably occur when connecting multiple amps.

The Palmer Saar passively passes the input signal to Amp Out 1, while an active FET circuit taps off the signal for Amp Out 2. This occurs without any loss of sound quality, as the FET input stage has a very high impedance. Amp Out 2 is also decoupled from the circuit ground via a transformer. This allows ground loops to be eliminated by pressing the Ground Lift switch.

The signal from Amp Out 2 has a low impedance and is therefore less susceptible to interference, allowing for longer cable runs without any loss of sound quality. An important feature is the Phase Reverse switch for the second output. The signal polarity of guitar/bass amplifiers is not standardized. When operating two amps simultaneously, they can be in phase or out of phase. In the latter case, the sound will be thin – which can be remedied by pressing the Phase Reverse switch on the Palmer Saar. Of course, you can also use the Phase Reverse function for sound shaping, as sometimes an out-of-phase sound can be very cool.
