About: DPA N-Series Handheld Transmitter w/ 2024 Supercardioid Vocal Capsule

N-Series is best used with DPA’s high-end vocal microphone capsules. There is a range of capsules available depending on the needs of your vocalists.

  • Wide frequency range: from 470 MHz to 870 MHz
  • Slim, light design sits balanced in the hand
  • No loose parts
  • 8+ hours of operation with standard AA batteries
  • DPA Rechargeable Battery Pack (optional)
  • Easy battery loading
  • Industry standard SL1 thread supports

High dynamic range

To get the highest possible dynamic range the N-Series uses stacked converter technology and optimized circuitry around the input stage and A/D conversion. This is how the system offers the best audio performance.

Having a higher dynamic range means that you do not have to dial in a gain or amplification on the transmitter. Therefore, there is no need to set the gain on the transmitter. In addition, as the system is digital, optimum RF signal is obtained without having to secure maximum modulation. The original signal is preserved throughout the system.

It is possible to adjust the level coming out of the receiver per channel, but this is done in the digital domain, i.e., it is an offset of the incoming signal and thus referred to as digital TRIM.

Audio levels and headroom

The bodypack transmitters have plenty of headroom, so there is no need to adjust input gain or the like. For this reason, you cannot adjust the audio levels on the transmitters.

It is, however, possible to change the level via an offset of the signal to balance sources with each other, but this is all done in the digital domain and thus referred to as digital TRIM via a knob on the receiver.

The analog outputs (if installed) allow users to adjust the analog reference to suit the system that the signal is being fed into. This is all done via the Receiver Menu.

Transmission power

Bodypacks can broadcast with a range of effects:

  • 1 mW, 5 mW, 10 mW, 20 mW, 50 mW
