About: Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone

The Sennheiser MKE 600 is the ideal video camera/camcorder microphone able to handle even demanding filmic challenges. Due to its high directivity, the MKE 600 picks up sounds coming from the direction in which the camera is pointing and effectively attenuates noise coming from the sides and rear. The switchable “Low Cut” filter additionally minimizes wind noise.
Because some video cameras/camcorders do not provide phantom power, the MKE 600 can also be battery powered. A battery on/off switch prevents the battery from discharging prematurely; “Low Batt” is displayed.

Comments:

We use two of these mic’s into an M-32 at a music school. The I/O interface is an UR22mkII. Zoom is used for online classes. The teachers need to be hands free and heads free ie no headphones. The teachers use a Meyer system to listen to the students. These mic’s provide a much higher sound quality than even a good webcam. Guitars, piano, drums, vocals and playback music all sound excellent with little or no feedback loop. A definite improvement to the customer experience.
