DriveCore™ Technology
Powering this remarkable amplifier is the pioneering technology of DriveCore, which seamlessly integrates the amplifier drive stage into the power output stage fusing everything into a chip the size of a dime. The foundational DriveCore circuitry is based on breakthroughs by Crown's own Gerald Stanley with five patents applying to the advanced feedback, modulation and output stage technologies. DriveCore's front-end drive circuits leverage the inherent efficiency of Class D output stages while also maintaining superb sonic characteristics. The end result is an ultra-efficient one-piece audio amplifier circuit that exhibits the exemplary audio quality of a highly evolved Class AB design. More information about DriveCore.
Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency is an integral part of ComTech DriveCore™. This series debuts a new four-stage universal power supply that adapts to operating demands to assure peak efficiency. Normal, Green, Sleep, and Deep Sleep modes combine to provide everything from full voltage to the supply rails for instant response to limiting power consumption, to less than 1W when not in use. And, because it's over 90% efficient in the DriveCore™ stage, no fan is required, allowing for ultra-quiet operation.

Most Crown amplifiers are guaranteed by Crown's 3 year no-fault full warranty. With this No-Fault protection your new Crown amplifier is guaranteed to meet or exceed original specifications for the first three years of ownership. During this time, if your amplifier fails for any reason it will be repaired or replaced at our expense. This includes parts, labor, and round-trip shipping (ground transport). This also applies to IQ System and PIP products.
Exceptions:
- iTHD, MAi and CTsB (current modified version in production since August 2010) will offer a 5 year standard warranty.
- LPS series, 135MA, 160MA, and 140MAx pack have a 1 year limited warranty.
NOTE: for a modest fee Crown will extend that protection for an additional three years with our 3+3 No-Fault Extended Full Warranty (amplifiers only).
Manufacturer's Warranty will cover parts, labour and return shipping back to you once repaired. Shipping into the service centre is not covered
