The SolaBulb Kit is a set of 8 SolaBulbs, 8 SolaSnoots, and 1 PowerStation with charger, stored in a durable protective plastic case. The PowerStation functions both as an external battery and as an external display.

SolaBulb is a 50W PAR-bulb-equivalent, zoomable luminaire with a 15º–50º adjustable beam, refined Fresnel lens, and durable, fan-free operation. A versatile downlight designed to meet the needs of film and events while providing an architectural look.

Simply rotate the front barrel to take advantage of the 15º–50º zoom range: a perfect fit for a round dinner table, an elegant and controllable downlight, or the ideal companion for a Chinese lantern. SolaBulb’s optical system delivers the exact beam you need.
• A Fresnel in a Bulb: No compromises, only quality. The Fresnel lens in SolaBulb is fully powered by Astera’s Titan LED Engine, delivering the same performance and beam distribution as larger luminaires like PlutoFresnel or QuikPunch. It’s a perfect choice for high-level events and an excellent solution for adding creative flares in-camera.
• Less Glare, more Contrast: No black wrap, just simplicity. The SolaSnoot attaches directly to the front of the barrel to eliminate light spill, create a more intimate mood, or emulate a traditional architectural downlight—without adding weight. Each SolaBulb kit includes 8 SolaSnoots, giving you complete control over your desired look.

THE BULB FAMILY

• LunaBulb: Traditional bulb size with a true-to-camera look, matching a 25W tungsten; allows classic and thin looks when removing LunaDome. Comes with battery-driven PrepCase and customizable accessories. Most-awarded and user-friendly with downloadable 3D files.
• SolaBulb: PAR30 bulb size with PAR20 Fresnel lens and 15-50º zoom, matching a 50W PAR output; accepts the attachment of snoot. Enables spotlight practicals, features an ON/OFF button and 2 threads for rigging, and it is compatible with battery-driven PowerStation.
• NYX Bulb: LED bulb size similar in output to 60W tungsten bulbs, with ON/OFF button. Kit includes cup-bouncing on top, and the bulb is PowerStation compatible. The first CRMX bulb ever made and the absolute standard in film sets and color-vibrant events.

HOW TO CONTROL

• Built-in CRMX: SolaBulb includes LumenRadio’s wireless DMX and RDM, ensuring seamless integration with lighting consoles and other standard controllers. The DMX patch is extremely easy to configure: assign profiles, starting addresses and fixture numbers in no time via the AsteraApp.
• On your console: SolaBulb is prepared for complex stage lighting and film setups where DMX-based, Ethernet based or CRMX-based third-party consoles and controllers are used. Furthermore, the most useful AsteraApp functions are seamlessly integrated in Blackout Lighting Console – the most convenient way to control SolaBulb from your tablet!
• PowerStation: The PowerStation is included in the kit and can be used as an external display or as an external battery for SolaBulb. Simply connect it, set a color, DMX address, or dimming level, and SolaBulb will remember the settings even when disconnected.
• App Control / BTB: Take command of your Astera lights! The AsteraApp offers full control over SolaBulbs and other Astera fixtures in the same smart ecosystem, while offering setup features and real-time monitoring.
• IR Remotes: The WhiteRemote is not only a highly useful tool for adjusting color temperatures and dimming values, but also a simple and convenient way to pair SolaBulbs with the AsteraApp. The FX Remote is equally valuable for leveraging RGB color mixing and creating dynamic lighting effects.
• ON/OFF button: When no other control method is available, the ON/OFF button on SolaBulb allows you to switch off the bulb, activate blue mode for Bluetooth pairing, or easily apply different color presets.
