POWER OVER ETHERNET. YOUR WAY.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) combines power and data in a single cable, simplifying setups, reducing clutter, and giving you more flexibility. It’s a widely used and future-ready technology that integrates seamlessly with existing networks.

QuikBeam works with or without PoE. With it, cables can reach up to 100 meters, standard sACN and ArtNet signals are supported, and the swappable battery can charge while connected. Lightweight, IP65-rated, and compatible with existing PoE switches. PoE also enables bi-directional communication, so IP or DMX addresses can be set remotely even after installation. With full integration into corporate, audio, and video PoE environments, QuikBeam makes lighting faster, smarter, and more versatile.

We provide two devices to use PoE with QuikBeam, from simply adding power to your data, to prepping, configuring, and monitoring multiple lights at once. In addition, there are third-party options available, as PoE is a well-established technology.

• NetBox: Prep up to 4 QuikBeams while charging their QuikBrick batteries in the case or even 100 m away with the Astera NetBox. IP65-rated and specifically designed to support Ethernet-based workflows and professional rigging conditions, NetBox allows for any software adjustment or App pairing in 10 seconds.
• PowerInjector: The PowerInjector is a compact, lightweight, and cost-effective accessory that supplies power and data to a PoE-based fixture. It features an RJ45 input for data and an RJ45 output to deliver power and data over standard ethernet cables. A great solution for instant power when your QuikBeam is running out of battery.

HOW TO CONTROL

• Built-in CRMX 
  • QuikBeam includes LumenRadio’s wireless DMX and RDM, ensuring seamless integration with lighting consoles and other standard controllers. The DMX patch is extremely easy to configure: assign profiles, starting addresses and fixture numbers in no time via the PrepCase Kit or the AsteraApp.
• AsteraApp
  • Take command of your Astera lights! The AsteraApp offers full control over QuikBeam and other Astera fixtures in the same smart ecosystem, while offering setup features and real-time monitoring.
• Blackout Lighting Console
  • QuikBeam is fully integrated in Blackout Lighting Console’s App, allowing users not only to DMX control but also to monitor its battery or configure settings via a connected ART7 AsteraBox WiFi. You can set QuikBeam’s battery runtime, reset, unlink or review firmware version amongst many other options – directly in Blackout.
• Remote Control
  • The WhiteRemote and FX Remote are not only really useful tools to apply different color temperatures, colors, effects and dimming values, but also a simple and easy alternative to pair QuikBeam with the AsteraApp when the PrepCase Kit is not available.
• On your light
  • The control panel offers intuitive control over your QuikBeam. Dedicated buttons offer swift control over brightness, HSI and colors.
• Web interface
  • Use the web interface to view system status and configure your lights. Check which ports deliver data and power and adjust settings such as runtime, intensity, color, and more.

• TiltMeter
  • Designed to assist with accurate fixture positioning, the TiltMeter is a software-based tool displayed on the OLED screen. When the Astera button is pressed, the display switches to show only the tilt angle, thanks to the built-in accelerometer. Pressing the button again returns the display to standard mode after focusing is complete.
