Customizable Keyboard Shortcuts

Fairlight Live has extensive keyboard customization, so you can tailor shortcuts to work faster without having to stop and click through menus. You can trigger key functions such as cue player control, player recorder, routing changes and system setups instantly. Plus, you have access to deeper controls including audio follows video, generators, remote access, show settings, talkback mic patching, snapshots and view management. In a fast-paced broadcast, you can trigger a snapshot adjust routing, and fire a cue using keyboard shortcuts, keeping the show responsive and under control from start to finish. Create your own audio workflow shortcuts to dramatically speed up live production!

Remote Control for Multiple Users

In addition to primary and backup engines, Fairlight Live lets you control the mix from separate computers, extending operation beyond a single system. You can hand off a section of the mix from the primary to a remote operator, who updates only the assigned channels or parameters in real time. The system supports two simultaneous remote control machines, with sync status indicators and dedicated talkback for coordination. This type of workflow is perfect for a live sports event, sermon or talk show. You can manage the main program while another operator handles audience microphones or in-ear monitors from a different location, keeping the mix organized and responsive during live production.

Supports 3rd Party Hardware

Support for 3rd-party control surfaces and tablet apps lets you add mixing control to Fairlight Live using Mackie MCU controllers and OSC-based iPad or tablet control. You can adjust faders, pan, mute, selection, PFL, AFL and metering, along with functions like solo clear, undo/redo, banking and control room volume. OSC also enables aux send control for monitor mixes, remote front of house operation, talkback control, GPI triggers, and audio follows video control. The ability to add control surface options is great in a live show. You can mix on a hardware controller while a producer uses a tablet for talkback and a musician adjusts their own monitor mix!
