<p>I bought this mic to use at home for VO jobs and to create podcasts. It&#39;s a big step up from the Blue Yeti mic I&#39;ve been using for several years. So far I am extremely happy with this mic which is on a par with the high end mic I&#39;ve used in professional studios. The one caveat that I would add is that as a dynamic mic, the gain on the mic is fairly low. When paired with a low quality pre-amp this could result in unwanted noise in post-production. I would recommend using this in conjunction with a Fethead or Cloudlifter is you are using this with a Zoom recorder or a lower end Focusrite interface. I am also a bit put off by the fact that the shock mount for this mic is non-standard and a very expensive add-on.</p>
