The EP890XK Pneumatic Pedestal Kit is designed for broadcast camera operators who require heavy payload capacity and tight counterbalance. PEDESTAL WITH PNEUMATIC CENTER COLUMN

This pneumatic pedestal features an air release valve with an air pressure gauge making easy to achieve perfect balance with various payloads.

CARBON FIBER LEGS

The pedestal features dual carbon fiber legs for each section. When mounted onto the heavy-duty dolly, these pedestal legs can provide support up to 165 lbs.

DRAG/COUNTERBALANCE

The fluid head features 9x micro counterbalance settings (3 steps), a payload switch (2 steps) for a total of 72-steps of adjustable counterbalance system. The system also offers 11 steps of pan & tilt drag (0-11).

PAYLOAD SWITCH BUTTON

The system features a payload switch button that allows for seamless adjustment between two payload ranges: from 6.6 to 94.8 lbs and from 94.8 to 143.3 lbs, facilitating versatile equipment handling.

DOUBLE SECURITY MECHANISM

To initiate release, press the safety button and pull the lever outward.

Subsequently, press the silver insurance button to detach the Quick Release plate securely.

SAFETY LOCK

The base is equipped with an extra tilt lock that automatically engages, providing a critical safety feature that ensures the equipment remains securely in place.

SLIDE RANGE

The 12-inch tripod plate secures the camera payload to the fluid head. It offers an extra 5.9 inches of sliding range to help balance your teleprompter and camera setup.

TOP-LOADING PLATE

A top-loading tripod plate offers quick and straightforward camera attachment and detachment, saving valuable time. Its secure locking mechanisms ensure your camera stays firmly in place, minimizing the risk of accidental drops. Compared to traditional mounting systems, a top-loading plate significantly enhances convenience, making it easier and faster to set up your equipment.

DUAL PANHANDLES

The dual panhandles allow you to maintain firm control on your shots. These panhandles also work perfectly for mounting zoom, focus, and iris controls. The length range for each panhandle is 16.7″ to 24″. This fluid head also features quad rosettes for mounting additional handles for added stability.

VERSATILE DOLLY SHOTS

The dolly base has track lock wheels to maintain direction during complex dollying and tracking shots. By locking the wheels in certain positions, radial arc shots can also be achieved.
