Looks and feels nice
Power supply is a wall wart
There’s a very loud 60 Hz hum most of the time the unit is powered on rendering it completely useless. The hum was even present with the unit powered off and the power cable disconnected although much quieter.
I returned the first unit I received hoping it was just a one off bad unit, but the problem persisted with the replacement which I’ll be sending back for a refund after almost 2 weeks of troubleshooting and wasted time.
Big shout out to the staff at AVShop for making this whole experience as painless as possible.
Maybe you’ll get lucky if you buy it and get one that actually works properly. It really does sound quite good the odd time when it doesn’t hum. I would have given it at least 4 stars if not for this one, glaring issue.
