Get True Studio Sound on Stage
Today’s music not only embraces plugins, but often relies on them for the artist’s true signature. Integrating Waves plugins into your live rig gives you total freedom over the sound you can conjure for the audience. Make your music sound true to its intention.
Simple to Set Up. Efficient to Mix.
SuperRack Performer is the natural extension of any mixing console, digital or analog. It’s optimized for simple setup and connectivity no matter the venue, and streamlined for live show use with efficient loading, routing, plugin control, quick keys, MIDI-use and snapshot recall.
Create Dream Processing Chains for Each Instrument
Don’t compromise on your live sound in the slightest. Use your favorite EQ, compression, analog saturation and modulation for the vocals and each instrument—the perfect tool for every job. Your FX chains can also be fully dialed in advance or explore our extensive library of presets on the fly.
Save & Recall Snapshots for Each Song
You don’t need to rely on static plugin settings for the whole show. Create and save perfectly dialed snapshots for each song in advance, and recall them as you perform them. You can even do this remotely using the Waves mRecall app.
Solve Venue Problems Automatically
Not every show is in Radio City Music Hall. Sometimes you’ll be mixing a gig in a small club, rooftop, church or multipurpose space with problematic acoustics and sub-par speakers. Waves’ specialty live plugins such as X-FDBK, PSE, F6 and the eMo series will easily handle these issues, so you can focus on creative mixing.
Latency
SuperRack Performer is an ASIO / Core Audio host and uses your audio interface to stream audio in and out of the application. As such, latency depends on your ASIO/Core Audio buffer settings. For example, at 48kHz, a setting of 256 samples buffer size would mean 256 samples on the input path + 256 samples on the output path, totaling 512 samples, which at 48kHz means latency of ~5.3ms*. Some of the plugins introduce their own processing latency, independent of where they run.
Processing
SuperRack Performer is similar to any DAW, doing its processing on your computer’s CPU. The faster your computer is, the more (and heavier) plugins you can run at the same time. Note that if you set your latency to a higher value, you can usually get more CPU for processing. You don’t want to overdo it on your CPU though, as running at high CPU might introduce sluggishness in your computer’s response.
Required gear
You need your computer for processing. You’ll also need a USB cable if your console supports USB streaming in and out, or an ASIO/Core Audio interface to connect your computer or laptop to the console.
Supported sample rates - 44.1kHz – 96kHz
Connectivity
To connect to your console, you’ll need either a USB cable if your console supports USB in/out streaming, or an ASIO/Core Audio audio interface that can connect to your console. For example, if your console supports MADI in and out, an RME MADiface or similar interface could do the job. If your console has analog ins and outs, then any analog interface would be the thing to use.
Remote Control
Various functions in SuperRack Performer and its plugins can be controlled by MIDI. Snapshot recall can also be done using mRecall, an iOS/Android application.
