I've had a pair of these for years, but recently I set up an isolation booth and an old-school mic processor chain. While trying out my Sennheiser 416 shotgun and a K47 capsule-converted RODE NT1A (v.smooth sounding) I slipped this mic in the mix (literally..) and what a nice announce mic! Tight and clean in the male range and very respectable next to the 416 and the RODE through the exact same chain. For broadcast (pro/community/campus station) or podcast, I'd use these (wait, I WILL use these..) and feel very confident in their sound.
Next week, I add an Electro Voice RE-20 to the mic cabinet. If I remember, I'll update this review on that dynamic mic comparison.
