I like SAMSON SR850 more than Superlux HD681 EVO, they are build by same manufacture.

Probably the best bang for your buck for headphones. Good semi-open design for wide sound stage. Good bass without being overpowering. Could use a bit of high end but a quick EQ fixes that easily....

These are the first new headphones I've bought in many years. The last pair I bought were the Grado SR-80s. It took 150 hours minimum of break-in using regular music and pink noise for them to really open up and sound their best. I installed the included velour ear pads in place of the plastic ones provided and that improved the sound by taming the bottom end and allowing the mids and highs to open up a bit. The sound is open and spacious and definitely full-range. I am particularly pleased with the tonal purity of all types of music genres from Jazz to Metal. These also have a well balanced frequency response and with mine being powered by my Denon AVR-3803 HT receiver, no EQ is needed. These certainly are an improvement over the Grados and I'm very pleased. I also like the fact that two cables are included and I connected the two together to create one very long cable which is great for me as my listening seat is about 10 feet away from my system. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a set of these. Outstanding value for the money in my opinion and they make me wonder if buying a more expensive set of phones would be worth it....

Really cant go wrong at this price. I found out about them on the Head-Fi forums while doing some research on the Senn HD650's which I was about to shell out 500$ + on, which I wasn't sure about spending. Someone suggested the Superlux HD680 Evo's and they have rave reviews by many people on the site. I decided to give them a chance and I'm amazed with the sound quality. You can get good quality sound for 60$, blown away....
