Pros:
I am very disappointed that the height adjustment and safety are made out of plastic. I was expecting a better build quality from Germany for $205.99CAD. Other than that it is built well enough and is easy to setup. Thankfully I can get replacement plastic parts from the AVShop, part numbers 6-87610-1-55 and 6-86900-1-55. I have no complaints with the K&M 21231 Boom arm. Unless you get the K&M 215 or 218 adapter, you cannot use another boom arm with this stand. I strongly recommend using three sandbags with 7.5 pound dumbbell plates in them for a total of 45 pounds for stability. More than 45 pounds of weight doesn't seem to improve stability significantly. I used sandbags and 7.5 pound dumbbell plates.
Cons:
Plastic (Polyamid) height adjustment (6-87610-1-55) and safety (6-86900-1-55). I've seen similar plastic parts on other equipment break well within five years. Buy the spares like I did.
