Elimiminated all ground loop noise caused by effects processor attached to laptop without removing the ground that introduces 60Hz hum into my guitar amp. Also potentialy very dangerous to disconnect ground on a tube amp. Now I don't need to run laptop on battery when editing patches.

Pros:
They do take out ground loop hum, when it exists, will save your neck from the conductor during a musical performance.
Cons:
Not having enough of them.

MAKE SURE that it's a ground loop problem where your setting this up and not an equipment issue, because the conductor doesn't care what it is, and his wand is coming your direction if you don't explain!
