Weighing only 16 ounces, the STR-MP10/833 Ultralight Soft Field Case from STRUT is custom-designed to efficiently operate the Sound Devices MixPre 10, 633, 833, or ZaxMax in the field for either FX or RX situations. Featuring a unique integrated carbon-fiber support skeleton, adjustable suspension cradle, and padded compartments, the case provides full access to the unit's controls and connections while protecting it from a challenging environment and impact. This system suspends the mixer above the case floor, leaving room for vulnerable wiring (specifically the 4-pin Hirose) or accommodate multiple powering options (like NP-F style batteries). This is a case that allows you to do more with less. Less bulk, less weight, less time.
The front pocket can hold up to four Sennheiser G4 or four Lectrosonic dual-channel receivers, plus BDS, a wiring port to the main compartment, and a full zipper on the bottom of the RX pocket to make cabling fast and orderly. The pocket lid tucks neatly out of the way for RX work, or gives the pocket multiple uses for FX work. The pocket also fits the Sound Devices SL-2. The case is equipped with a combination clear vinyl cover for dust and rain protection, which converts to a solid Cordura travel cover to protect your valuable equipment in transport and hide it from prying eyes.
There is a zippered “smalls” pocket in the front with web clip-on points for Comtek or additional RX. Zippered access points on the left and right sides let you plug in headphones, adjust volume, encoder knob, and make discreet cabling changes during production. Battery changes are made easy with the bottom zipper opening which provides access to the recorder's battery compartment and Media. The bottom battery wrap will conveniently accommodate an external battery pack. The case features double belt loops and 4-point harness attachment.
