Small size makes it easy to transport, plug it in, attach the adequately long wired remote control, wait about 10-15 minutes for the heater to get warm enough, and when the green light stops blinking, voila, FOG! I like that the unit works vertically and horizontally. Gives me options. Glad too that it is DMX controllable so I can run all my equipment from my laptop.
It isn't light but compressors are heavy. If you want to use the machine for theatrical purposes, the compressor is a bit loud when fogging vertically, though it is quieter when on solid flooring.
Using Chauvet high density fog fluid with my Antari Z-1020 1000W Vertical Fog Machine gave me a fairly dense fog that dissipated quickly as it is supposed too. The fog from the unit didn't set off any fire alarms either! I wasn't sure what would happen but I tested it, filling my house with quite a bit of smoke and none of the home alarms were triggered. Just thought I should mention that because I wasn't 100% sure when I bought the fog machines.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
